This past Sunday on January 27, 2013 some very special people celebrated a very special day; their 50th wedding anniversary. Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa! You two are truly an inspiration on what real love is and have set the bar pretty high for all of us grandchildren.

Wouldn’t ya know it; they first met at a 4-H pig show. I’m telling you, there really is something about those county fairs Earlier this month, the whole family was able to get together to help celebrate this milestone and I was able to capture some of their story on video.

Grandpa always says, “The key to a happy marriage is I take care of all the big problems and your Grandma, well she takes care of all the small problems and you know what? There hasn’t been a big problem yet!”

As cliché as it sounds, I hope to one day be married as long as you two have. Happy Anniversary you love birds!
